The El Chaco, Argentina Graboid Incursion of 2001 was a minor Graboid and Shrieker incursion in El Chaco, Argentina in 2001. It was also the third known appearance of Graboids in modern times.
Background[]
In 2001, a single Graboid egg hatched in the region of El, Chaco, Argentina. After an unknown period of time, the Graboid was eventually noticed, but no one called for help for three weeks at which point the Graboid had become six Shriekers. The Shriekers then consumed a truckload of chickens and multiplied into a massive herd of Shriekers. Needing help, the Argentinian government called in paranoid survivalist and Graboid hunter Burt Gummer for help. In return, Burt asked for a .50 caliber anti-aircraft gun which he was supplied with. Accompanied by reporters, Burt lured the Shrieker herd away from civilization, using his truck's engine heat and a flare. While the reporters panicked, Burt climbed into the anti-aircraft gun and mowed down the Shriekers easily as they charged his location. All of the Shriekers were killed and the story was aired on CNN.
